Aluminum reactivity with air9/27/2023 ![]() AlN, GaN, and InN have wurtzite structures analogous to cubic BN, but show no analogue of the graphite-type structure of BN.There are many aluminum metallo-organic compounds of the type A1XR, where X may be oxygen. Gallium, indium, and thallium dissolve readily in acids, but thallium dissolves slowly in H 2SO 4 and HCl. Aluminum does not react with aldehydes, ketones, or quinones.
